As you may have known, the Federal Government has finally, after years of trying, passed the new Federal legislation regarding the privacy of our medical records. The new law is commonly called: HIPAA. Our Advanced Healthcare Directives are now updated with new language that makes your Advanced Healthcare Directive HIPAA compliant. We recommend that you update your Advanced Healthcare Directives so that they are in comliance with this new Federal legislation.
